Complete test system – CompactHiL
COSATEQ's new desk Hardware-in-the-Loop solution
In cooperation with Munich based Meilhaus Electronic GmbH COSATEQ developed an affordable modular desk HiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) solution. The complete system is a combination of the ME-Neuron (Full CompactPCI based DAQ PC system) and real-time environment SCALE-RT.
ME-Neuron is a complete stand-alone DAQ PC optimized for measurement, data acquisition, control and independent real-time operations. The system comprises perfectly matching components – starting with the CPU, DAQ and control boards to connectivity accessories and driver software. In combination with the model based real-time simulation software SCALE-RT a complete Hardware in the loop system is created, which is used to test and ensure the functionality of embedded systems, support development, as well as the start-up of machines and systems in an early stage. In addition this innovative solution offers applications for data acquisition, control and visualization. Customers can optional choose from a broad variety of signal conditioning products to be implemented in their desk HiL solution. The implemented real-time simulation environment SCALE-RT is a flexible, open source and Linux based system supporting various modeling softwares (MATLAB® /Simulink®, Scilab/Scicos, SimulationX etc.)

HiL-systems significantly reduces product introduction by testing the products control system in the development phase.
